Kensington Part Two
22 Windsor:
A Jewel in a Lovely Setting: Kensington.
We held a second Broker's Tour for 22 Windsor in Kensignton. After a price drop, we usually hold a second broker's tour to bring the property to the attention of realtors and brokers that have clients who want to buy a home at a lower price. My wife held it open, since I had another property I had to attend to. What struck her was that almost every agent that came through remarked "This is a beautiful home!" and they seemed surprised.
It is a beautiful home, with lots of lovely architectural touches--as you can see by the photos on the Website. But that's not the only feature of this property. The other one is Location, Location, Location!
My blog on Wednesday gave you a short tour of the gorgeous park in the immediate neighborhood with tennis courts, basket ball courts, picnic areas, a play field, and a view to die for. Now I'll talk about some of the local hot spots!
Kensington is very family friendly, so you can expect that both young and old will enjoy an evening out in Kensington.
The Arlington Cafe offers great breakfasts in the morning, and live music and movies in the evenings.
The Inn Kensington has a Vietnamese chef trained in French cooking. The flavor blends are subtle and delicate. His soups are terrific, and breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus are meals to savor.
The Sugar Cone Cafe has desert when you want it! Lunch is also available, and the sandwiches are creative and terrific, but the deserts are the main event! Grab an ice cream with the kids after school, or get a treat to satisfy your after dinner sweet tooth.

A trip to The Circus Pub is a great way to spend an evening. Sports events are broadcast and there's a kid's play area in one corner so both young and old can have a good time. Live music can be heard on the weekends. As for the food, the Pub prepares the best burgers in the bay area, and, true to Irish roots, the fish and chips are yummy, as is the shepherds pie. If you're a beer lover, you'll enjoy the variety of beers and ales, including some local brews.
22 Windsor will be open this Sunday. Don't just take a look at the house. Walk around the neighborhood and see how wonderful it is to live in Kensington.
My latest listing in Albany! 1110 Cornell will also be open from 2 til 4 this Sunday. I hope you'll take a tour and say hello!
